Yaia grew out of a stubborn conviction: the insight behind ShowMe might still become something concrete if its shape changed. Not a platform to build ahead of the market, but a production house capable of making Branded Entertainment for real.

The idea was mine and took shape through the meeting with Antonio Bellanca and Milk ADV. The practical difference from ShowMe was that the company structure now included an established creative-production business with clients, expertise and delivery capability. The vision no longer relied only on the promise of a platform; it could meet an organisation already producing content.

From platform to production

ShowMe tried to organise the relationship between brands, creators and audiences. Yaia shifted the centre of gravity towards conceiving and producing bespoke brand content across strategy, creativity and production. It was a short experiment, lasting roughly a year. The company was incorporated and ran a few early trials with small clients, but never became a stable operating business.

The persistence behind it starts with the story of ShowMe and later took a more pragmatic form in Bloxi.

A day inside Milk ADV

My clearest memory is not a pitch or a contract. It is a day spent at Milk ADV's offices, ending over dinner with its owners. Watching the agency at work, meeting the people, seeing the projects and speaking as peers made tangible what had previously been mostly imagined.

That day does not prove the model was right. It does show the value of professional encounters: even a project that does not continue can open rooms where you learn how more experienced people operate, test your vision against a real organisation and see what is missing between an intuition and a business.

Telling the experiment without rewriting its ending

Yaia is now closed. There is no need to assign it a scale it never reached, or to reduce it to a mistake. It was a concrete attempt to bring a vision closer to production and the market. The lesson is less spectacular and more useful: changing an idea's shape does not always save it, but it can help you test it more honestly.
